Students currently taking classes as well as staff and faculty can borrow materials from the library with picture ID.
The college collection includes 58,000 print books, 340,000 ebooks, 4,000 DVDs, 1,500 CDs, 200 audio books, and dozens of magazine and newspaper subscriptions, findable through Primo OneSearch
The 75+ subscription databases contain full-text articles, ebooks, images, audio and streaming films that can be accessed on campus or by students and employees anywhere through their network (same as Canvas) login.
Library books and media items can be renewed online twice if no one has put a hold on them or by calling 425-388-9353 or visiting the Circulation Desk. Computers, hotspots, and calculators are not eligible for renewal.
Many current textbooks are available for use while in the Learning Resource Center from the Circulation Desk. Students will need photo ID to use them. Check availability in Primo OneSearch or Ask a Librarian.
For long-term use, students may prefer to rent or buy textbooks from the campus bookstore.
Chromebooks (free), netbooks ($20/quarter), WiFi hotspots ($15/quarter), are available for quarterly checkout from the Circulation Desk to current students. All technology must be returned by the last day of the quarter or late and replacement fees will apply as outlined in the Technology Lending Agreement.
Graphing ($20/quarter) and scientific calculators (free) are available for quarterly checkout from the Circulation Desk. Calculators are due by the last day of the quarter or students will be charged late or replacement fees. Some graphing calculators are available for free 3-hour check-out.
For use in the building, headphones (with and without microphones) as well as phone chargers that fit most models are available for free checkout from the Circulation Desk.
Current students and employees of Everett Community College may use our free interlibrary loan service to access books and articles not owned by us. Loan periods for items borrowed from interlibrary loan are set by the lending library and may differ from our loan periods.
Students and employees can send suggestions for any additions to the collection to library@everettcc.edu. Faculty may also directly contact their subject librarian.
Everett Community College has a reciprocal borrowing agreement with most other community and technical colleges in the state. This allows current students to visit other college libraries and borrow (and return) items directly. Students may wish to phone the library they plan to visit in advance to confirm the item can be borrowed and verify the ID needed.
Community members and former students can pay an annual fee of $22 to the EvCC Cashiers Office to check out materials. Use of the computers and printers/copiers is not available for community borrowers but anyone may use the building's free Wi-Fi.
